The Daikin FTXS indoor  part of the air conditioning unit is equipped with an air purification filter with photocatalytic deodorising function. The filter is able to trap microscopic particles, to decompose odours, and even to remove bacteria and to deactivate viruses. The filter lasts for 3 years without replacement if washed about every 6 months. Incorparated in the indoor unit is a movement sensor which detects whether someone is in the room. When the room is empty, the unit switches to economy mode after 20 minutes and restarts when a person enters the room.
